'All Saints' goes full circle back to All Saints

'All Saints' goes full circle back to All Saints

It was a very special day for us today when we took our 'All Saints' linen full circle back to the church where the story began.

This morning we proudly unveiled new curtains in the Inchyra 'All Saints' print in the side chapel arch at All Saints Church, Glencarse, where Caroline first spotted the original antique curtain that gave her the inspiration for the print.

Two years later, we have a fabric in print and sitting in Look Files with our trade customers around the world. Not only this, but the story has a doubly happy ending - when we launched All Saints at Decorex last September, it was recognised as possibly being a Warners' design. We contacted the Warner Textile Archive and asked them to check - and discovered that our original fabric, sitting in the side chapel at All Saints, Glencarse - was indeed probably derived from an original Warners design. That design itself had originally been developed for altar cloths, which makes the circle complete in more ways than one. We are delighted that the Archive have asked to have a sample of the new Inchyra print to sit in the Archive alongside the original fabric to illustrate a further chapter in the life of this beautiful pattern.

We will be donating a percentage of sales from our 'All Saints' linen to raise money to help towards the upkeep of All Saints Church Glencarse, so we all send it on its way into the world with great hope.

The photo shows Caroline this morning with our minister, Kirrilee Reid alongside the new side chapel curtain.
