About Inchyra

Based in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands, founder Caroline Inchyra has created a range of unique and timeless fabrics and accessories. From the original archive inspired linens first released in 2012, the Inchyra range has grown to include pure Scottish wools alongside co-ordinating cushions, lampshades and throws.

What started as an obsession with finding a way to recreate old linens, both in look and feel, has resulted in this exquisite collection of fabrics.

Caroline says: "I find inspiration in something found, perhaps a scrap of antique fabric or an old shawl, and the route may be to simply recreate something that no longer exists and give it new life, or it may be to edit and play with form, colour or size to create something new. I try to always link what we're doing back to fabrics that we already have so that the whole collection works comfortably together. A house decorated in Inchyra fabrics feels lived in, it feels comfortably luxurious, you know that you are surrounded by a level of real quality."

"Inchyra fabrics are utterly beautiful"  Maude Smith, World of Interiors

Inchyra House, seen above, is at the heart of the Inchyra Estate, near Perth, Scotland and home to James and Caroline Inchyra, founders and directors of Inchyra.  The estate is also home to two other thriving enterprises. The Byre at Inchyra is acknowledged to be one of the country's top wedding venues, housed in a beautifully and sympathetically restored Victorian cattle byre that sits behind the main house. The Byre also hosts the Inchyra Arts Club, a music and arts club that puts on a programme of national and international artists throughout the year.
